Kudos to Oracle. Market2Lead is an awesome enterprise grade saas product. Oracle has acquired the top notch technical team as part of this transaction. I would have not expected anything less.

Bottom line. If you are in the data business and don't have a solution to act on on it, you are compromising your offering. Well played Oracle. Then again if they don't assume the technical talent -- it will wither away.

Market2Lead was rated as the most comprehensive solution for B2B Marketers by most analyst. Customers include Redhat, Cisco, Tibco, DataDomain, Citrix, SunGard, Tektronix, OfficeDepot and several other billion dollar brands. Market2Lead never accepted venture capital and now with Oracle they have the muscle to win big in the marketplace. I'm bullish on Oracle's smarts on acquiring Market2Lead.

@Stuart Nice point... I would say that Market2lead may have been a good fit for Oracle, not necessarily best of breed. Oracle has been usually good at finding value, however it's different from buying a good solution. Time will tell.

Market2lead must have been a good solution if Oracle has acquired them. Lets face it Oracle is a smart company who don't make many mistakes. But when a giant buys a small software company it can go wrong. I'm thinking Oracle buying Siebel, Infor buying Epiphany, Experian buying ClarityBlue, News of the World buying Fergie etc etc etc.
